Wests Magpies To Wests Tigers: Liam Fulton

Wednesday 13 September 2017

Today we feature the last man to captain a Western Suburbs team to a premiership win in Liam Fulton.

Playing his junior football for Greystanes, Liam was snapped up by our junior development programme after Parramatta walked away from him (gee they made some good calls in the old days didn't they?).

In and out of the Wests Tigers lineup in 2004 after making his debut in the final round of 2003, he finally cemented his place in the top squad in 2005, and enjoyed his second premiership in four seasons.

After missing all but the opening game in 2006, Liam headed to Huddersfield for a season in the Super League in 2009 as a result of salary cap constraints before returning for three seasons in 2010 after which he was forced into retirement due to concussion concerns.

Liam is currently coaching the Campbelltown City Kangaroos in Group 6
