Western Suburbs Magpies final season in the NRL was 1999. Now a joint venture partner of the Wests Tigers we developed the Pathway to Success.

Wests Junior League & Group 6
Players from South West Sydney play for local clubs in the Wests Junior League and Group 6 competitions. These clubs provide the grassroots network that is the life blood of our great game.

Western Suburbs Magpies
Western Suburbs Magpies is the local representative team for Wests Junior League and Group 6 clubs. Players that excel at club level may be selected to play for the Magpies against other district representative teams.
-    NSW Cup (Reserve Grade Seniors)
-    Ron Massey Caup (Third Grade Seniors)
-    S.G. Ball (Under 18’s)
-    Harold Matthews (Under 16’s)

Wests Tigers
Players that stand out playing for the Magpies have a direct path to be selected to play for the Wests Tigers.
-    Jersey Flegg (Under 20’s)
-    NRL (First Grade Seniors)

Representative
Western Suburbs Magpies and Wests Tigers aim to develop players to their full potential. The Pathway to Success continuous goal is to develop players to the highest of standards required by representative tournaments like State of Origin and the World Cup.
