Transport: Wollongong trip alert! 🏖️ If you’re coming from Sydney, consider catching the train to Wollongong Station then a short taxi/ride-share (10 minutes) to the Figtree venue. Driving down the M1 Princes Motorway is straightforward (about 1.5 hours from Sydney); there is usually free parking on-site or in nearby streets around the Collegians Sports Complex. This is a local community ground, so amenities are nearby and the atmosphere is relaxed. Plan a carpool with fellow fans or even make a day of it in Wollongong – footy in the afternoon and perhaps the beach or local eateries afterward.
Magpies Support: The Dragons’ backyard in Wollongong can be a tough place, but a vocal Magpies contingent will make the difference. If you’re in the Illawarra or up for a road-trip, come and chant for Wests! The boys have been training hard for this one, and after a solid week’s preparation they’ll be ready to breathe fire of their own.
