Transport: Henson Park is accessible by public transport. Take the train to Sydenham or Marrickville Station (each about a 15-minute walk from the ground), or catch a local bus to Illawarra Road/Sydenham Road. Driving is possible, but parking is limited in the surrounding streets – arrive early if you plan to bring the car. Many fans make a day of it at Henson with a picnic on the hill, so consider public transport and enjoy the atmosphere.
Magpies Support: The Jets will have their die-hard fans at Henson Park, but Magpies supporters can make their presence felt. Bring your picnic blanket and your loudest voice – let’s turn the famous Henson hill into a sea of black and white. This match is also part of the Tommy Raudonikis Cup tradition between Newtown and Wests, so it’s a special one. Come along and help our boys honour a legend by bringing home a win on the road!
